House Construction

These folders contain pictures as the house was being built. It was fun to watch it happen!

2001-02-02 * Trenches for plumbing done, and plumbing is in place.

2001-02-10 * Plumbing finished, form finished, slab grid in place, ready for concrete. * (3 Slides)

2001-02-16 * Slab has been poured and leveled. Starting on the frame of outside walls. * (4 Slides)

2001-02-18 * Framing outside walls. * (7 Slides)

2001-02-24 * The frame is basically done, the windows are all in, the roof structure is done, and the bathtub and showers have been delivered. * (10 Slides)

2001-03-02 * The electrical is basically done, the heating and cooling is basically in, and the plumbing is being installed. * (10 Slides)

2001-03-06 * The house is ready for the intermediates inspection. So the electrical is done, the plumbing is done, the gas lines are in, and the heating and cooling system is done. * (8 Slides)

2001-03-10 * The exterior walls have been insulated, the exterior styrofoam walls have been put up, the wire mesh is over top of that, and the interior drywall has been started. * (15 Slides)

2001-03-17 * The Drywall is finished! They also did all of the taping and mudding. * (9 Slides)

2001-03-24 * The Stucco is finished! They also put all of the texture on the inside walls. * (6 Slides)

2001-04-14 * A lot has happened since
the last time I saw the house. Here is a partial list: the painting
is finished, the ceramic tile is in, they have started to build
the block fence around our yard, the cabinets are almost done,
and most of the lights are in. * (10 Slides)

2001-04-21 * Well it's basically done now.
The counter-tops are in, the carpet is in, the roof is finished,
and there are only a few little details left to get done. * (6 Slides)
